This is where we show off some of the cool stuff.

The portfolio section is designed to highlight various in house projects, past and presently being undertaken by EPPL, in order to learn and create more sophisticated programs and applications for clients. Most of the portfolio pieces incorporate both 3 dimensional graphics, illustrations and computer generated renderings. One trait of EPPL is to combine both 2D and 3D elements into its digital creations to create a depth to there design.

The projects below highlight some of these experiments. Please be aware that several of these projects are still in constant development, we will attempt to update areas as we continue to explore and test our ideas. Any comments of interest are most welcome.

Animation, Interactivity and Multimedia
Multimedia projects involve the construction of various medias, animation, graphics and interactivity. Without layout however you just have a muddle of information. With years of experiance in desktop publishing we intergrate 2D and 3D imagery together to provide a powerful solution to each application.
Drawing & Sketching
I've always enjoyed sketcthing and drawing both futuristic, technical creations and more fantasy based subjects. Before spending hours in front of a computer we plan out what it is we need to make your project work. What elements will play an important factor in bringing you the audience your after.

1998 - Early Settlers Interactive Log

When the Otago Settlers Museum decided to celebrate Dunedin's 150th they asked their members to provide details on the first decendants to settle in the Otago Province. The information on the original Settlers was then collected and sorted by several methods. The first of which being the Surnames of the original settler and spouse. Information regarding the ship, or method of arrival, the birth dates and marriage records, as well a collection of details on their children where also collected. It was then my job to create an interactive database, in which this information could be sorted and view by the general public, when they visited the Museum.

The main focus of the Interactive Logbook (database) became two primary objects. Firstly an animated 3D globe to represent the world, and the diversity of locations from which people travelled. The second object was that of the Settlers Logbook, animated with turning pages and a bookmark to the Searcher this was the primary source of viewing the information that members, and later the general public provided to the project. Having first started the project family photographs have also been added, and it continues to draw attention from visitors to the Museum.
